She has ignored the voices of front-line officers, refused to engage with subject-matter experts, and shown no willingness to amend or revisit failed legislation such as the HALT Act — even as evidence mounts of its catastrophic impact on safety.
Her leadership has not represented balance, fairness, or a commitment to public safety. It has instead fostered chaos, violence, retaliation, and fear across New York’s prisons.
We respectfully demand that:
New Yorkers deserve a correctional system that protects officers, incarcerated individuals, and the public alike — not one crippled by ideology and neglect.
